My buddy the audio engineer said my monitor arms were "fighting" my desk acoustics
He pointed out how the metal arms were reflecting sound off the back of my monitors in a weird way (something about phase cancellation) and now I can't unhear the hollow echo - has anyone else run into this with a dual setup in a small room?

Are the arms solid metal or hollow tube style?

Promise they're solid metal because my hollow tube arms would NEVER hold up a coffee mug.
