Swore by my 12-inch trowel for years, now I'm all in on a 14-inch after a tricky ceiling job at a church in Oakwood.
I always figured smaller trowels gave me more control, but that 14-footer with 12-foot ceilings made me try a bigger blade. The mud laid down way flatter with fewer passes, and I finished that whole sanctuary in half the time. Anyone else switch blade sizes late in the game and get surprised by the results?
