DAE wonder why some drywall batches are dustier?

Honestly, the cleanup takes twice as long for no reason.

My buddy redid his bathroom last fall and hit a patch of drywall that just fell apart into powder. He said it was like sanding a cloud of chalk, and the dust got into everything, even downstairs. Took him an extra day just to wipe down every surface in the whole house. He still brings it up, asking what they even mix into some of those sheets to make them such a mess.

A friend of mine once cut into drywall that crumbled like stale bread. The dust settled in his kitchen cabinets, and he was finding it for weeks.

Good drywall shouldn't crumble like that if it's installed properly.
