A deckhand told me my suction line setup was costing us time

He pointed out I was running the booster pump at 80 PSI, but the cutterhead was only rated for 65. Dropped the pressure and our production jumped by about 15%. Anyone else have a story about a small tweak that made a big difference?

Man, that's a classic. Ever have that with a pump's bypass valve? I was losing my mind over low flow on a transfer job until an old hand noticed the valve was only open a quarter turn. Opened it up fully and it was like flipping a switch, pressure stabilized instantly.

That's the kind of thing that makes you check the simple stuff first every time now. It's like when your internet is slow and you've rebooted the router three times, but the problem was just a loose cable you hadn't looked at. The fix is always stupidly simple once you see it.
