Met a guy at a car meet who built a hydraulic workbench on casters for like $200

He showed me how he welded an old scissor jack frame into a rolling table, and now I can't stop thinking about how much easier that would make engine swaps in my tiny garage. Has anyone else rigged up cheap lifting gear that actually holds up?

I saw a guy on YouTube reinforce a harbor freight engine stand with some angle iron and it held up for two full LS swaps before he upgraded. That scissor jack idea sounds solid if you brace the corners right.
