Yeah the "6 months" part is really the key here. That's about how long it took me to realize the SAME thing with my garage setup. Fluorescent tubes just get dimmer over time and you don't notice until you switch. Plus the instant on thing with LED strips is a game changer when you walk into a cold garage. No more waiting for that annoying flicker and hum before you can actually see what you're doing.

Did you know LED strips actually have a longer lifespan rating than most fluorescents? I read somewhere that the average fluorescent loses like 30% brightness before you replace it. That dimming over time is so gradual you don't even catch it happening.
