Shoutout to the senior drafter who saved my behind on a fire suppression detail

I was working on a commercial build in Fresno last month and had a fire sprinkler layout that just would not fit with the ductwork. Old timer named Dave walked by my station, pointed at my riser diagram and said 'you're overthinking the branch lines, just flip the tee around'. I was about to redo the whole sheet. He saved me like 4 hours of redrafting. Has anyone else had a veteran drafter drop a fix that seemed obvious once they said it?

Okay hold on, is this REALLY that deep? I get that Dave saved you time but you were about to "redo the whole sheet" over a tee fitting? That sounds like a basic drafting 101 mistake, not some secret old timer wisdom. Like, you didn't try flipping the branch line BEFORE you decided to scrap everything? Most people would have caught that in five minutes of staring at it. I'm glad it worked out for you but calling this a "save" feels like you're making a simple fix into a big deal.

Honestly Brooke I feel you, sometimes it really is just a small oversight that feels bigger in the moment.
