PSA: A client's old blueprint in St. Louis taught me a new trick

They had a hand-drawn detail from the 70s showing a simpler way to mark radius points. Has anyone else picked up a useful method from an older set of plans?

Used to roll my eyes at hand-drawn notes on blueprints, figured if it was important it'd be typed up. Then I ran into a set from the late 60s where some guy had sketched a little triangle method for finding radius centers on curves that were all jacked up from building settling. Tried it out on a job where the digital file was useless and it worked perfect. Now I actually look for those old pencil scratches first before opening the computer files. Old school draftsmen knew what they were doing even if their handwriting was garbage.

That old blueprint trick sounds like a neat find.

Used to think it was silly but it actually works.
