Pro tip: A client's offhand comment about a 1/8" detail saved a reprint

I was showing a plumbing layout in their kitchen, and the homeowner pointed at a tiny gap near the island and said, 'That drain line looks too close to the cabinet toe-kick for my installer.' I checked, and she was totally right, it was off by just enough to cause a fit issue. Has a small observation from a non-drafter ever caught a big error for you?

That 1/8 inch detail is honestly wild to me. I would have bet money that gap was fine, just a visual thing on the screen. It's crazy how someone who isn't staring at lines all day can spot the one thing that's actually wrong. Makes you wonder what else we're all just glossing over.

My client's kid once spotted a missing window on a house elevation. Saved me from a major RFI.

Guess we should start paying the homeowner's kid as a junior inspector.
