I finally switched from manual dimensioning to using a proper style sheet in AutoCAD 2024
I used to think clicking each dimension and setting it up was faster, but after a 50-page site plan for a Denver project, my way took 3 hours. Setting up a single style sheet with all my layers, text heights, and arrowheads cut that down to 45 minutes for the same work. The consistency alone is worth the initial setup. Has anyone else made a similar switch and found a specific setting in their style that was a game-changer?

Denver projects teach you that, especially when you forget your coffee (like I did).

Honestly, the click method still feels faster for my small residential jobs.

Speed isn't the only thing that matters. The click method can lead to mistakes if you're rushing. A proper torque wrench might take a few extra seconds, but you know the connection is right. That peace of mind is worth more than saving a little time.
