The $2.50 LED strip that actually lit up my whole kitchen

Picked up a random LED strip at Dollar General in Cleveland last month purely as a joke, figured it'd flicker out in a day. Stuck it under my cabinets and it's been going strong for 6 weeks now, bright enough that I actually turned off my main overhead light. My roommate laughed at me for buying it but now she uses it more than I do. Anyone else find a cheap gadget that totally outperformed what you expected?

Nah, but those cheap LED strips have a weird color temperature that messes with my eyes after like an hour. Got one from Family Dollar for my desk and it made everything look like a hospital waiting room, had to rip it down. Maybe the warmer ones are better but the bright white ones just feel harsh on the eyes for actual daily use instead of just a novelty.
