Found a pack of command strip hooks at a dollar store for $1.25

I needed to hang some lightweight tools in my garage but didn't want to spend $8 on a pack at the hardware store. Took me 20 minutes to check three different dollar stores before I found them at a Dollar Tree in Toledo. Has anyone else scored name brand stuff like this at discount stores?

Dude yes, I found a whole box of 3M command strips at a Family Dollar in Akron for a buck fifty each. I grabbed like six packs, figured theyd last forever. Same thing with Scotch tape, got a four pack for a dollar at Dollar General once. The trick is hitting up the stores in the sketchier parts of town, they always have the random name brand stuff that got overstocked or something. People sleep on dollar stores for this, its a goldmine if you have the patience to dig through the weird shelf clutter.

Used to think dollar store stuff was all sketchy knockoffs, but you're making a solid case here. Might have to start checking those weird aisles more often.
