Everybody raves about those $5 LED strip lights but mine died after 3 days
I grabbed a pack from the discount bin at the 99 Cents Only on Vermont Ave last Saturday. Stuck them under my kitchen cabinets, looked great for like 48 hours. Then the remote stopped working and half the strip went dim. I see people posting their setups all the time in here saying how they last forever. Did I just get a bad batch or are these things actually junk? Anyone found a brand that holds up longer?

$5 LED strips from a discount bin? lmao dude you got what you paid for. Those things are straight up garbage, they use the cheapest chips and barely any copper in the wiring. I had a set from Amazon that was like $12 and they lasted maybe two weeks before half the colors stopped working right.

My buddy swore by the cheap ones for years but that 99 cent bin set you grabbed is exactly why I stopped listening to him. Half the strip went dim on day three and the remote was useless by then too. Those discount bin LEDs are basically a gamble that usually loses.
