Can we talk about those cheap super glue tubes at the dollar store

I picked up a 3-pack of their super glue to fix a broken mug handle last Saturday. Took me 45 minutes to get one tube open without glue shooting everywhere, and the handle fell off again two hours later. Anyone else find that you waste more time fighting the packaging than you save on the price?

...and that's EXACTLY what happened to me with their super glue last month. I finally gave up on the tube and used a small pair of pliers to get the cap off without it exploding everywhere. The glue itself held for about a day before the mug broke in a different spot, so I just bought a decent tube from the hardware store and it's been fine ever since.

Hold up @mark731, maybe the real issue is that super glue doesn't play nice with ceramic mugs in general, especially if they've got any tiny chips or hairline cracks you didn't spot.

mug broke in a different spot" - classic. That's basically my entire relationship with cheap super glue. I glued my thumb to my coffee mug once trying to fix a handle. Had to soak my whole hand in nail polish remover for 20 minutes. Still holding a grudge against that brand.
