The person who brought 8 tennis balls to a 3 dog park and chaos followed

I go to the Cedar Hills dog park every Saturday morning and there's this one guy, Steve, who always shows up with a whole bag of tennis balls. Last week he dumped out like 8 of them at once and every single dog went into full frenzy mode. My shepherd mix got possessive over three of them and started growling at a lab puppy. Has anyone else dealt with someone who just doesn't understand to ration the toys?

Steve with the tennis ball bag at Cedar Hills is a regular, and honestly my corgi lives for those chaotic mornings way more than the slow days with just one ball.

chaotic mornings" is the exact phrase that gets me. My golden retriever acts like she's won the lottery when she sees that guy show up with the bag. She'll literally ignore me for the first 10 minutes just to chase every ball he throws. I've tried the one ball approach on slow days and she just gives me this look like "is that all you got?" It's hilarious how dogs know the difference between a good play session and a great one.
