Last Tuesday was the worst dog park day I've had in years

I usually hit the park around 7am with my golden retriever, but last week I showed up late around 9 and it was already chaos. There was this new owner who brought a bag of treats and just handed them out to every dog without asking. My dog pretty much tackled her for a biscuit and then stole another one from her bag. Then two huskies got into a fight over a tennis ball and the owners just stood there yelling at each other. Meanwhile another dog ran off with someone's shoe and chewed the heel right off. I spent 20 minutes trying to get my dog to settle down after all that excitement. Has anyone else had a day where everything went wrong at once?

Oh man, that sounds like a nightmare. Honestly, bad dog park days feel like a perfect storm where everyone forgets the unwritten rules at the same time. Tbh, it's not just the park either, it's like this in grocery stores or on the highway too. One person shows up without any awareness and suddenly the whole vibe shifts. Ngl, the treat bag thing drives me nuts, you gotta ask the owner first. And the shoe stealing is just classic chaos, I've had my lunch bag snagged before. It's like the universe tests you all at once.

One time some guy at the park let his dog chew on my backpack strap for five full minutes before he noticed.
