Question about those expensive peel and stick floor tiles

I dropped over $300 on a fancy brand for my kitchen floor, and they started peeling up at the edges after about six weeks. Everyone online says they're a great DIY fix, but I feel totally burned. Has anyone had a good experience with these, or should I just save up for real tile?

Six weeks is way too fast for failure, that's a bummer. Terry_martinez is right about primer being key, but the prep work is even bigger. You have to get the old floor crazy clean, like no grease or wax at all, and it needs to be perfectly flat. Those tiles can't handle any bumps or dips. Honestly, for a high traffic spot like a kitchen, real tile or even luxury vinyl plank is a way safer bet long term.

Mine held up after I went nuts with the floor primer first.
