My neighbor told me my deck stain job looked like a 'rusty oil spill' and now I'm redoing it with a proper brush after 3 coats.

Has anyone else had a stain disaster and what brand did you switch to for a smoother finish?

Hah, that reminds me of my aunt. She once said my abstract painting looked like a sad pizza. @lily394 would get a kick out of her.

Does she take commissions? I feel like "sad pizza" is the kind of brutal honesty abstract art needs. Your aunt might be onto something.
