Picked up a rope braiding trick at the dog park last week

I was at the Riverside dog park on Saturday watching this guy's golden retriever destroy a braided fleece toy in like 5 minutes. He showed me how he does a 4-strand round braid instead of the regular flat one. Tried it on some old t-shirts I had and my pitbull Duke couldn't tear it apart for 3 days. That's a record for him, most toys last maybe 20 minutes. Anyone else got a braiding method that actually holds up to heavy chewers?

Oh man, I feel this so hard. My lab mix Luna is the exact same way, she can shred a "tough" toy in under an hour easy. That 4-strand round braid sounds like a lifesaver honestly, I'm definitely gonna have to look up a tutorial for that one. The struggle of finding something that holds up is real, feels like the pet stores just lie about what's "indestructible" lol. Let me know if you try any other knots, I'm desperate for anything that lasts longer than a day.

Good grief, tell me about it. My Labradoodle ate a Kevlar toy once.
