Brought a rope toy to the dog park and three owners tried to buy it off me

Tbh I just whipped out this braided fleece rope toy I made last weekend for my lab mix, nothing fancy just a 3-strand braid with some knots. Not even 10 minutes in, this guy with a golden retriever walks up and asks where I got it. I said I made it and he literally offered me 15 bucks on the spot. Then his friend comes over and says he'll give me 20. Then some lady with a corgi says she'll trade me a bag of homemade jerky treats for it. I was so confused, I just sat there holding this chewed up rope while three strangers argued over my dog's toy. Has anyone else had random people try to buy your homemade stuff at the park?

Kept mine but I made a deal with the lady who had the corgi. I let her borrow it for the afternoon while I watched her dog play with mine. She brought me a bag of those jerky treats next weekend and I showed her how to braid one herself. Now we trade jerky for toy tips every few weeks. That rope held up pretty good for about a week of hard tugging before the knots started loosening up on me.

Wait, did you actually take any of them up on their offers or did you end up keeping the rope? I'm curious because if I had a golden retriever owner, a friend who upped the price, and a corgi lady all fighting over it, I'd probably be too awkward to say no to at least one of them. Like what were you doing that whole time, just sitting there holding the rope while they argued over it? And seriously, how much tugging did that thing take before it started fraying at all?

Traded it for the jerky (best decision, corgis know good snacks).
