TIL those cheap cable clips from Amazon are garbage

Bought a 50 pack of adhesive cable clips for $7 and half of them fell off my desk within a week. Anyone found a clip that actually sticks to painted MDF?

Did you clean the surface with rubbing alcohol before sticking them on? That makes a big difference with anything adhesive on painted surfaces. The paint often has a slight release agent that prevents a good bond even with decent clips.

I used standard double-sided tape and mine have stayed on for 2 years without any prep lol.
