Just found out my monitor arm was messing up my neck for 2 years

I was watching a video from some ergonomics guy on YouTube and he pointed out that most people mount their monitors too high. I measured mine and it was like 4 inches above where it should be... no wonder I've been having neck pain. Lowered it to eye level where he said and after a week my shoulders actually feel relaxed. Anyone else realized their setup was slowly wrecking them?

Knew a guy who had his monitor too low and his wrists went bad from looking down all day at work. Nobody wins in the end.

Read an article about how most people set their screens based on what looks good not what their body needs. I spent years with mine cranked high so I could slouch back in my chair. Dropped it to eye level last month and my neck stopped clicking when I turn my head. Took about two weeks to stop feeling wrong though.
