I finally ditched my dual monitor arms for a single ultrawide setup
Used to run two 27-inch screens on cheap arms for three years, but the gap between them kept messing with my neck angle during long work sessions. Swapped to a single 34-inch curved ultrawide last month and my posture feels way better now, but has anyone else struggled with the loss of screen real estate for side-by-side windows?

Nah, you're totally missing the point of an ultrawide. The WHOLE trick is using a proper tiling window manager or at least Microsoft's FancyZones to snap your windows exactly where you want them. Set it up once and it remembers your layout forever, no more dragging like a caveman. Your neck will THANK you in the long run because the curve keeps everything in your natural field of view. Plus, ultrawides are WAY better for video editing, gaming, and any single-focus task where bezels just get in the way. Honestly, once you dial in your zones, the loss of screen space feels more like a gain because everything flows better without that annoying gap.

Two 27s with a single arm setup here. I actually kept mine because the bezels help me mentally separate work apps from Slack/browser nonsense. Ultrawides are great for immersing in one task, but I hate dragging windows around to get the same split layout I had before.
