Shoutout to the time I glued my fingers together trying to fix a pen holder at 2 AM

I was in my dorm room last winter trying to reattach a broken leg on my little wooden pen cup with super glue and ended up with my thumb and index finger stuck together for 3 hours while my roommate laughed and handed me nail polish remover to fix it, has anyone else had a desk decor project go sideways like that?

Personally I think super glue gets an unfairly bad reputation. You gotta respect a substance that bonds that fast even if it makes you look silly for a few hours.

Oh boy, I did something similar with a cheap desk lamp from the thrift store. Tried to glue the base back on around midnight and ended up with the thing stuck to my palm and the metal arm glued to my sleeve. Took a good 45 minutes of soaking in acetone and some very careful peeling to get free. Sure taught me that 2 AM is not the right time for precision glue work, that's for sure.
