Gotta say, that's actually a clever way to use up a bunch of random bottle caps you'd normally just toss in a drawer (or the recycling bin, if you're trying to be good). Bet it gives the desk a cool DIY punk vibe too.

My cousin tried something like this last year with about 30 corona bottle caps and honestly it looked really messy after a week. The glue started peeling off at the edges and the caps would catch on my sleeves every time I reached for a pen. Maybe it works if you use a heavy duty epoxy or something but regular craft glue just doesn't hold up to daily use. Plus those edges can get pretty sharp if the caps have crimped metal rims. Not trying to hate, I just think there's a reason we usually toss these things.
