That diner on Route 66 had a shaker of cinnamon on the coffee counter
I stopped at this old diner outside Kingman, Arizona last month and noticed they had little shakers of cinnamon next to the sugar and cream. The waitress said people sprinkle it right into the filter before brewing. I tried it at home with my $8 can of Folgers and it actually cuts the bitter edge. Has anyone experimented with different spices like nutmeg or cardamom in the grounds?

Oh yeah I put cinnamon in my coffee grounds all the time now it's so good.

Toss a pinch in with the grounds before brewing so it blends in better.
