I actually prefer a french press over an aeropress for cheap coffee.
I know everyone swears by the aeropress for making budget beans drinkable, but after using a $15 french press for 6 months now, I find it gives me a richer cup with way less fuss. Has anyone else ditched the hype tools and gone simpler?

Dumped my aeropress last year after I realized I was spending more time cleaning the filter than actually drinking coffee. French press just sits there, does its thing, and the cleanup is literally rinse and done. The sludge at the bottom doesn't bother me one bit, kind of adds body honestly. People overthink brewing.
