That one comment about chain lube application totally changed my routine
Someone on here told me I was using way too much lube and just making a mess. I cut back to one drop per link and my drivetrain stays so much cleaner now. Anyone else get a simple tip that saved them tons of cleanup time?

One drop per link changed everything for me too, but then I switched to a wax based lube and that was a whole other level of clean. Actually got so into keeping things tidy that I started wiping down my whole bike frame after every ride, which my wife thinks is hilarious since I leave my dirty coffee cups in the sink for days. The real trick for me was realizing that most of the grime was just leftover lube trapping road dirt, not actual chain wear.

Lol "one drop per link" sounds like some kind of sacred bike maintenance scripture now. I used to just drown my chain in that stuff like I was seasoning a steak or something, and then wonder why everything was caked in black gunk a week later. Now I actually wipe off the excess after applying and it's insane how much less grime builds up. It's almost like all those YouTube tutorials were right and I was just being an idiot with a bottle of lube.
