My neighbor told me to use cardboard under mulch. Huge mistake.
He said it would block weeds for good. Told me it breaks down naturally. 8 months later my garden bed was a soggy mess. Mites everywhere. Had to dig out 6 inches of soil and start over. Anyone else get burned by bad advice from a well meaning neighbor?
