I was dead wrong about those cheap plastic lawn chairs

Grabbed two of those white resin folding chairs from Walmart for $12 each just to have extra seating for a cookout. Figured they'd crack by the end of summer. Three years later they've been through snow, sun, and my nephew jumping on them and they still look brand new. The expensive metal set I bought from Lowes for $150 started rusting after 6 months. Has anyone else had cheap lawn stuff hold up way better than the pricey stuff?

Right? I bought the same chairs for a BBQ and they outlasted my actual lawn furniture. Guess the secret to quality is just not trying.

Oh come on, you can't seriously think not trying is the secret. Those chairs are made out of that cheap resin plastic that's basically indestructible because it's one solid piece of molded junk. Real lawn furniture has moving parts and cushions and stuff that actually has to look nice, not just survive a thunderstorm.
