My uncle swore pre-rinsing was a waste of time. Now my dishwasher smells like a bait shop.
He told me just scrape and load, so I stopped rinsing for 2 weeks. Last Tuesday I opened it up and found half a sardine stuck to the heating element. Has anyone else had a relative's bad advice ruin their machine?

Ha lmao yeah that's pure chaos cooking right there. @william_miller it's funny how people think "cheap" means you have to ruin your appliances instead of just using a pan. Reminds me of how everyone tries to hack their way through life when the basic solution is usually right in front of them.
