Appreciation post: My husband caught me scrubbing and finally set me straight
I spent 12 years scraping and RINSING every single dish like it was going into a clean sink, not a dishwasher. Last Sunday my husband walked into the kitchen while I was scrubbing a baked-on casserole dish and asked why I was doing the dishwasher's job. He showed me the manual for our 3-year-old Samsung and pointed to the part about how enzymes in the detergent need food particles to work. I tried his way for a week - just scraping solids and loading it up - and the dishes come out CLEANER now. Has anyone else had that moment where a partner or friend made you question everything you thought you knew about dish loading?

Bet your husband earned himself a free pass for the next few arguments after that one.
