Showerthought: I wasted $40 on that fancy garlic press I saw on Instagram
I saw this ad for a garlic press that claimed to be the last one you'd ever need. It had this cool lever mechanism and looked super sturdy. So I dropped $40 on it from some brand called Chefstir or whatever. First time using it, the handle snapped right off when I tried to press a single clove. I didn't even use a big clove, just a normal one from the grocery store. Tried to get a refund but their website was a dead end, no phone number or anything. I'm back to using my $3 one from the dollar store that's been working fine for years. Has anyone else fallen for those overpriced kitchen gadgets from social media ads?

My $40 garlic press broke so fast it made me realize I paid extra for the privilege of being disappointed.

That price point just buys better packaging, not quality.

Paid more for less. Classic.
