Shoutout to my friend who told me I was overcooking my chicken

She saw me making my usual stir-fry and said, 'Girl, that's gonna be rubber,' and showed me how to pull it at 165 degrees. Anyone have other simple tips that fixed a basic dinner mistake?

Honestly sammurray is right about resting meat. That tip alone fixed my dry pork chops.

Pulling chicken at 165 is a game changer. That same idea works for pork chops too, pulling them earlier keeps them juicy instead of tough. I used to cook burgers until they were dry hockey pucks, but now I go for medium and they're so much better. Letting meat rest for a few minutes after cooking makes a huge difference, it keeps all the juices inside.

My grandma always pulled her chicken at 160, Betty_Reed61, and it was perfect.
