My kitchen flooded on Tuesday and I'm still eating pantry pasta.
It's either a creative win for using up old lentils and a can of tomatoes, or a total failure because I've had it three nights straight. Anyone else ever get stuck in a weird food rut after a kitchen disaster?

Doubt it's that deep, hugow30. Sometimes you just eat pasta because the pan is still under the sink. My kitchen flooded last year and I just ordered pizza for a week straight, no big psychological thing.

Oh man, I read this article once about how after something like a burst pipe, people get weirdly attached to the one meal they can make. It said it's a comfort thing, like your brain just latches onto the routine when everything else is messed up. So three nights of pantry pasta totally tracks.
