Called BS on the $12 pasta trick from that food blogger
Saw this hack about salting your pasta water like the sea. Rolling my eyes hard. But after 4 bland batches in a row I caved and dumped in a whole tablespoon. Game changer. The noodles actually taste like something now. Anyone else have a cooking tip they refused to try forever?

Like the sea" is actually way more salt than a tablespoon lol. You're supposed to use like a whole handful for that water to taste like the ocean. But yeah salting pasta water is legit, it's the only chance your noodles get to absorb flavor.

Holy crap, a whole handful? That seems insane. A tablespoon already felt like a lot to me and I thought that was pushing it. I can't imagine dumping that much salt in, feels like you'd be drinking the ocean by the time you eat the noodles. But hey, if that's what it takes to make them taste good then maybe I'll work up to it. Still blows my mind.
