Heads up about the new grocery store deli section downtown
I stopped by that Fresh Market on 5th last night around 6pm to grab a rotisserie chicken for a quick dinner. The self-serve hot bar had a sign saying it was restocked at 4pm but the mac and cheese was crusty and the chicken looked like it had been sitting there way longer. I asked the guy at the counter how long stuff stays out and he just shrugged and said 'til it's gone'. If you're grabbing a meal from there, stick to stuff that's actually wrapped and dated, not the open bins.

The prepackaged stuff from their cold case has been fine for me, I just avoid the hot bar entirely now. Grab and go is the way to go there lol.

Funny enough I used to think the hot bar was the only thing worth getting there. But after a couple times where the food seemed like it had been sitting way too long I switched over to the grab and go stuff. The wraps especially have been decent and at least you know when they were packaged.
