That time my tablet driver crashed during a live art stream in Portland
Honestly, I just kept drawing with my mouse for the last 20 minutes of the stream, talking about brushwork while secretly panicking, and has anyone else had their main tool just die mid-project?

Ever think you needed fancy gear to make good art? My stylus died during a final project once and the messy mouse lines I made ended up being my favorite part.

Totally get that. My tablet pen gave up halfway through a huge piece last year and I had to finish with my trackpad. The wobbly lines looked so bad at first, but then they gave the whole thing a weird energy that worked. Makes you wonder why we drop hundreds on gear when the best stuff happens by accident. Now I keep a "broken tool" layer in my files just to force some happy mistakes.

Watched my buddy's expensive camera lens crack right before a shoot. He finished the day using a cheap plastic filter he taped over the broken glass, and the weird light flares in the photos looked amazing. Sometimes the broken gear makes the art.
