That minimalist art gallery in Portland caught me off guard
I was in Portland last weekend and popped into this tiny gallery near Hawthorne. They had this whole room of digital pieces that looked like simple color blocks from far away. Up close you could see all these tiny details and layers the artist hid in there. The gallery owner said they printed them on this special canvas that picks up different light angles. Has anyone else found hidden details in what looked like simple digital art at first glance?

40 bucks for a colored square? Sounds like a scam to me.

Oh man, tip for next time: bring a flashlight. Works great for catching those hidden layers without having to chase the right light angle around the room. Also figure out if they have viewing hours when the sun hits just right. Saves a return trip.
