Rant: Picked art tablets over traditional supplies for my showcase

Had to choose between a Wacom tablet or a set of high-end copic markers. Went with the tablet. Regretted it for the first month. The learning curve was brutal. Stylus felt weird. Now I can edit colors in seconds and undo mistakes. But I miss the feel of actual paper. Any of you switch and stick with it?

Well isn't that just the modern artist's dilemma in a nutshell. I switched to digital about two years ago and my hand still reaches for an imaginary pencil sharpener every time I sit down to draw. You trade the smell of paper and the feel of a brush for the ability to rotate your canvas with two fingers and never run out of white paint. It's a fair trade I suppose, but I still catch myself staring at my tablet like it owes me money.

It's like everything's becoming a trade these days, trading the real for the convenient.
