Rant: My tablet pen died mid-stroke on a 6 hour piece yesterday

I was working on a portrait in Procreate at my desk around midnight. About 4.5 hours in, my Apple Pencil just gave up with no warning, like zero battery left. I panicked for a second because the blend was half done on the hair and I didn't save. Turns out I could plug it into my iPad for a quick 15 minute charge and pick right back up. The file was still there and I didn't lose any strokes or layers, which honestly surprised me. Have any of you had an art program glitch out or crash on you mid-project and lose something important?

Lost a whole comic page to a Photoshop crash once. Wanted to throw my laptop out the window.

Does a two hour Krita freeze count? I was merging layers and the whole thing just stopped moving. Had to force close it and lost maybe 20 minutes of detail work.
