My tablet pen nib wore down to nothing after just 3 months of daily drawing
Didn't notice until I tried to shade a portrait and the thing started scratching the screen like a cat on a screen door, anyone else go through nibs faster than they expected?

Yeah I read somewhere that a lot of tablet makers use softer nibs on purpose so they wear down faster and you have to buy more. Sounds like a racket to me honestly. My Wacom nib lasted about 4 months before it started feeling rough, but I saw a video where someone tried those metal nibs and said they scratched their screen so I stuck with the standard ones. I just bought a 10 pack off Amazon for like 8 bucks and keep them in my drawer so I never run out. Still annoying though, feels like you should get more than a few months out of something that costs that much.

Lol @ivanl76 my friend actually tried those metal nibs and totally ruined his screen, had to get a whole new tablet. I feel you on buying the 10 pack though, I've got a little stash in my desk drawer for when mine starts feeling scratchy. Such a scam how fast they wear out but I guess it's just how they get you.
