But that's the thing, @brooke484, it's not about bad instincts. It's about what we're TRAINED to do now. When a screen looks like an app, we try to swipe it. So what happens when art looks TOO real or too interactive? Does that ruin the experience?
It's funny how touchscreens rewired our basic instincts. We expect every flat surface with light behind it to respond to a poke now. The line between a picture and a button is totally gone.
