My art post hit exactly 1,000 likes while I was at the hardware store
Honestly, I was just picking up some floor adhesive when my phone blew up. I posted a new digital painting of my dog as a space pirate on my art page last night. Tbh, I thought maybe it would get a couple hundred likes at most. When I checked, it was sitting right at 1,000, which is a huge jump from my usual couple hundred. Has anyone else had a piece just randomly take off like that?

That's awesome, congrats on the milestone. My stuff usually peaks right when I'm doing something dumb, like trying to fix a leaky faucet and making it worse. What was the last thing you painted before this one?

Right before that I did a quick sketch of my cat in a cardboard box, except I forgot to draw his tail so he looks like a little potato with ears. It got like 50 more likes than anything I actually put effort into, go figure.

Hah, that's so true! I swear my last painting got way more likes right after I spilled coffee all over my sketchbook. Before this one, I did a small watercolor of my dog sleeping in a sunbeam, but he moved halfway through so his back legs are kinda weird.
