I dropped $80 on a set of custom Photoshop brushes and it was a total scam
I mean, the promo art looked amazing, but the brushes were just low-res junk that came in a weird file format. They didn't blend right and made my line work look pixelated after like two strokes. Has anyone found a good brush pack that's actually worth the money, or should I just stick to making my own?

Check out the free brushes from artists you actually follow. I got burned on a fancy pack once and now I just tweak the basic round brush, works way better.

Honestly same. I spent way too much on brush packs before realizing the defaults are fine. Just tweak the settings a bit.

Honestly the whole brush pack market feels like buying spices pre-mixed. You never know what filler you're getting. I just find one solid brush I like and learn how to push all its settings, which ends up being way more useful.
