Went back and forth between a reman injector and a brand new one...

Ended up going with the reman to save $180 on this 6.7 Cummins job, and now it's got a stutter at idle that wasn't there before. Has anyone else regretted cheaping out on injectors like this?

A reman injector for 180 bucks off? That's like brushing your teeth with bargain toothpaste.

My cousin runs a shop in Phoenix and swears by reman injectors for older Cummins trucks - he says the cheap ones actually hold up better than the OEM ones past 100k miles sometimes. @mason798, you're comparing it to bargain toothpaste but I think the bigger deal is nobody talks about how many of these remans are just old cores that got cleaned up with new seals and nothing else. That 180 bucks off might be covering parts that are already worn out inside like the solenoid or the spill port. If you're not buying from a place that pressure tests each one individually, that discount is just dropping the price on someone else's headache.
