Vent: My shop just hit 10,000 hours on our old dyno without a major rebuild

We've been logging every run since 2018, and the original injectors are still holding spec. I was sure we'd need a rebuild at 8k. What's the most hours you've seen a dyno go before needing major work?

That's wild, what's the actual pull count look like? @haydenp95 has a good point about hours versus cycles. I mean, ten thousand hours on one set of injectors is crazy, but if you're doing long steady-state mapping it's different than quick back-to-back pulls. Maybe it's just me but I'd be more worried about thermal cycles than raw runtime.

How many pulls on that thing?

Hayden, you're asking the real question here. I lost count after about 200 pulls on the first revision, but honestly I've probably done over 500 now between tuning and testing. It's kind of embarrassing when you add it all up. I tell people I'm a "dedicated enthusiast," but really I'm just someone who can't leave well enough alone. The thermal cycle thing fisher.mason brought up is exactly why I finally stopped and started fresh with a new setup. My poor injectors have been hot, cold, and everything in between more times than I care to admit.
