Spent $600 on a fancy injector puller kit and it was junk
Bought a Master Injector Puller set from a tool truck last spring. First time I used it on a 6.7 Powerstroke, the adapter threads stripped out. Cost me another $200 to have a machine shop fix the head. Went back to my old two-jaw puller and never had an issue since. Anyone else get burned by overpriced specialty tools that don't hold up?

$600 and it strips out on the first Powerstroke? That's rough, man. I paid $350 for my Matco set and the threads on the main adapter gave up after about five uses. Now I keep a cheap Chinese slide hammer in my box for backup. Funny how the $40 harbor freight tool outlasted the fancy truck brand.

yeah it's wild how that works. it's like the cheap stuff is designed to be simple and just get the job done, but the expensive stuff is made to be "premium" and ends up being fragile in a different way. reminds me of how people overcomplicate everything now, like my buddy bought a $200 smart kettle that broke in 6 months and now he's back to using a $15 stovetop one his grandma gave him. the cheaper stuff usually has less to go wrong and it's easier to fix when it does. sometimes paying less just means you get something that actually works for what it is.
