Serious question, how do you handle a player who rolls TOO well?

I had a guy last session who rolled 4 natural 20s in a row on his d20. Four. In. A. Row. We were all losing it. But here's the thing, it actually BROKE the game. He one-shot my big boss encounter I spent 2 hours planning. My buddy who DMs for another group told me I need to start using a dice tray with a lid or a dice tower so nobody can cheat. But this guy wasn't cheating, he was just lucky. Has anyone else dealt with a streak like this? Did you just let it ride or change something about how you run encounters?

Did you try talking to him after the session about how it threw off the balance, or did you just let it slide? Because if that four-20s-in-a-row guy is a regular, you might need to have a quick chat about pacing so everyone still has fun. I'd be curious if he noticed the boss fight felt too easy or if he was just hyped on the luck streak.

Hey Eva, did you catch that article on dice probability that was going around last week? It talked about how rare four natural 20s in a row actually is, like 1 in 160,000 odds or something wild like that. I feel like that guy probably didn't even realize what happened, he was just riding the high of getting lucky. @eva_garcia56 you're right though, having one dude dominate like that can kill the tension for everyone else, especially in a boss fight. I think a quick chat after the game, just something casual like "hey that was insane luck, mind if we tweak the next encounter so it's still a challenge?" would go a long way. Most people don't want to be the one ruining everyone's fun, they just don't notice in the moment.
