That time a vendor ghosted me after I paid a $2,400 deposit
Last month I put a deposit down with a local sign company for my shop's new storefront banner. They took the money, said 2 weeks turnaround, and then nothing. I called 6 times over 3 days and finally got a text saying "we're slammed, check back Friday." Friday came and the number just rang and rang. I drove to their Denver warehouse on Santa Fe and the door was locked, no note, no way to get my cash back. Has anyone else dealt with a local vendor pulling this in the metro area? I'm trying to figure out if I should file a claim with the BBB or take them to small claims.

My buddy lost $900 to a painter that vanished. Small claims is your best shot.
